MIS signs MoU with Cloudera to host, resell cloud solutions in Saudi Arabia

Al-Moammar Information Systems Co. (MIS) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cloudera Inc. to host and resell Cloudera solutions in Saudi Arabia, which will be the first of its kind in the Middle East.

 

The MoU will extend for six months, subject to extension, the company said in a bourse filing today, June 29. It will cover hosting Cloudera solutions on MIS' cloud and providing support to MIS clients through the Saudi Cloudera platform.

 

Saudi Cloudera will manage and secure the data lifecycle across public and private clouds inside the Kingdom, as well as the edge for a hybrid data platform experience with high speed and business agility.

 

The two companies look to launch the platform within the next six months.

 

The statement said the financial impact can't be determined at present, adding there are no related parties.
