Saudi Arabia's real estate deals slightly decline to SAR 18.3 bln in October

The value of Saudi Arabia's real estate transactions fell by 0.3% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 18.3 billion in October 2022, the Ministry of Justice data showed.

 

The real estate deals decreased by 1% month-on-month (MoM).

 

The number of the real estate transactions reached about 17,400 in October.

 

The number of properties sold reached 18,000 for the same period, as indicated below:

The downturn was driven by residential real estate deals that slid 27% YoY to SAR 8.25 billion in October.

 

The value of commercial deals rose 59% YoY to SAR 8.63 billion, while the agricultural and industrial deals were valued at nearly SAR 1.43 billion last month.

 

The residential deals represented 45% of total real estate deals last month, while commercial represented 47%. Agricultural and industrial deals accounted for 8%.

Land sale transactions accounted for the lion’s share at nearly 74%, or SAR 13.6 billion, of total real estate deals during the period, followed by the apartment transactions with a value of SAR 3.98 billion.

Riyadh was the most active city by value of residential and commercial transactions, reaching SAR 5.43 billion. Dammam took the second place with transactions worth SAR 3.98 billion in October, as shown below:
