The biotechnology will become one of the most growing sectors in the coming decades and will create several jobs, Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih told Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit.

 

He added that a third of Switzerland's economic growth is attributed to the biotechnology sector.

 

Organized by the Ministry of National Guard, the summit was launched today, Jan. 25. It aims to boost the Kingdom's position as a global gateway to medical biotechnology, through building global partnerships in this field and developing programs for the pharmaceutical industry.

 

The summit hosts biomedical and health research experts, physicians, faculty members, pharmaceutical and biotechnology experts, as well as representatives of health institutions, in addition to research and development experts from all over the world.
