Saudi holdings of US Treasuries down to $113.3 bln in April


Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries reached $113.3 billion in April, declining $2.9 billion month-on-month (MoM), new data from the US Department of the Treasury showed. 

  

The Kingdom maintained the 17th place among the largest holders of US Treasuries in April. 

 

Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries were distributed among long-term bonds worth $100.4 billion, representing 89% of the total. Meanwhile, the value of short-term bonds for the same month amounted to $12.9 billion, accounting for 11%.

Japan was the top holder of US Treasuries in April with a value of nearly $1.12 trillion. China came second, with $868.9 billion, as the following table shows:
