Alwasail buys new plant in Qassim in SAR 2.1 mln deal

Alwasail Industrial Co. announced the purchase of a new factory in the First Industrial City in Qassim Province, for SAR 2.15 million, after agreeing to transfer SAR 1.8 million in obligation for the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) funding on the plant, coupled with a SAR 350,000 cash consideration.

 

In a statement to Tadawul today, Nov. 30, the company indicated that Nawakheth Plastic Containers Production Co. and SIDF are related parties to the deal. It added that SIDF’s approval of the transaction is conditional on the obligation transfer.

 

The deal is aimed at expanding Alwasail’s activities and improving the operational performance of its plants. This is by taking advantage of new additional spaces and reducing operating expenses, while increasing production capacity, it further stated.

 

Sales of pipe parts and accessories are projected to increase by 30% starting from Q2 2024 on the back of the deal.
