Riyadh Mayor issues 3 directives for private sector empowerment

Mayor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Ayyaf issued three directives aimed at enabling the local private sector to perform its role as a partner in the region's development.

In its official X account, Riyadh Region Municipality said, under the new directives, an annual meeting with the private sector will be held. This is to enhance cooperation as well as coordination and follow-up on the implementation of the recommendations set forth in previous meetings.

The directives also entailed the formation of a joint committee with the private sector, the representatives of which will be determined by the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce.

This is provided that the committee should meet periodically and submit its reports to Riyadh Mayor on an ongoing basis.

Under the third directive, a digital channel will be formed, through which the private sector can present proposals and challenges facing them, it added.
