GACA eyes establishing six new general aviation airports

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) is working to establish six new general aviation airports in the Kingdom, to bring the total number to 15 by 2030, Al Arabiya TV reported, citing GACA President Abdulaziz Al-Duailej.

 

Liquidity will be injected into the infrastructure and nine terminals will be added the current airports, Al-Duailej said.

 

He added that 2030 goals include raising the contribution of general aviation to the local economy by more than SAR 8 billion, in addition to opening and liberalizing the market and introducing more investors to the general aviation sector to serve private aircraft, businessmen, tourism, and medical care.
