Remittance outflows by expatriates in Saudi Arabia declined 34 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 10.4 billion in June, data issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) showed.
On a monthly basis, expat remittance outflows fell by 20 percent, or SAR 2.6 billion, declining for the fourth month in a row.
The Kingdom earlier said that it does not plan to impose taxes on expat remittances.

Remittances sent by Saudi nationals to other countries declined 45 percent YoY to a total of SAR 3.03 billion in June, its lowest level since January 2007, when remittances reached SAR 2.6 billion.
