Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh) will shut down its Vacuum Gas Oil Hydro Treatment Unit (VGO) to change the intermediate catalyst for interaction, the company said in a bourse statement.

The planned shutdown will start on Oct. 4, 2017 and is expected to continue for 32 days until Nov. 4, 2017.

During the period, the company will also perform maintenance work for some units and ensure that all necessary safety standards and procedures have been implemented, the statement added.

The shutdown is not expected to have a material impact on Petro Rabigh’s financials as it has been previously approved in the operational and financial plan for the current year.
