Saudi Arabia pledged $830 million worth of financial aid to Tunisia, Reuters reported citing Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed.
Chahed, after his visit to Saudi Arabia, told reporters that around $500 million was expected to finance the budget, $230 million to finance foreign trade and about $100 million to finance projects.
No further details were elaborated about the projects
Last month, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman visited Tunisia and met with President Beji Caid Essebsi to discuss cooperation on the economy and finance, investment promotion and security, and military cooperation to counter extremism and terrorism.
