Saudi holdings of US Treasuries rise by $24 bln in 2018

Saudi Arabia’s holdings of US Treasuries stood at $171.6 billion in 2018, a rise of $24.2 billion year-on-year (YoY), new data released by the US Treasury showed.

 

The Kingdom raised its holdings of US Treasuries by $1.7 billion month-on-month in December 2018, maintaining its 11th place among the largest holders of US debt.

 

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) increased its holding by nearly $500 million to $56.8 billion in December 2018.
