Saudi Airlines Cargo Company (Saudia Cargo) has signed a joint agreement with King Abdullah Port to help transfer cargo efficiently between sea gateway and its hub King Abdulaziz International Airport.

This agreement, which comes shortly after inaugurating the new King Abdullah Port, will establish an air-sea-air cargo corridor with the surrounding airports to ensure the smooth flow of cargo to the port and re-export it by the air.

The agreement, signed between Omar Hariri, Saudia Cargo's CEO and King Abdullah Economic Port CEO Rayan Qutub, covers several aspects including transportation, logistics operations, and supply and information exchange.

"We recognize the importance of King Abdullah Port's contribution to strengthening and enhancing the Kingdom's regional and international role in logistics and supply chain services. We will work side by side with our partners to ensure optimum coordination and productivity," said Hariri.

“We aspire to contribute to the development of logistics operations at this gigantic port that acts as a significant hub in which the estimated number of cargo consumers in the Middle East market is more than 400 million,” Hariri noted.
