Holdings of foreign investors in Tadawul slips to 5% last week

Foreign investors – including strategic partners – reduced their ownership in the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) by 0.13 percent to 5.09 percent in the week ending March 28, 2019, new market data show.

 

Ownership of non-founding foreign investors – namely swap holders, residents, Qualified foreign investors (QFIs) – declined to 2 percent from 2.18 percent in the week ending March 21.

 

Founding foreign investors accounted for 3.09 percent of total foreign ownership in the same period.

 

On the other hand, GCC investors’ ownership decreased marginally to 2.05 percent of total market capitalization in the week ending on March 28, from 2.06 percent a week earlier.

 

GCC investors' ownership saw a gradual decrease in 2017 to 2.40 percent in April, ahead of dropping to 2.06 percent in average last year.
