Saudi Arabia set to establish international city for dates

The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA) has tendered a new project for building an international city for dates in Al-Madinah, according to a ministry statement.

 

Interested bidders should submit their proposals before July 16, 2019.

 

The project spans an area of 1.1 million square meters (sqm), and the new city will be seven kilometers away from Al-Masjid al-Nabawi, and 17 kilometers from Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport (Medina Airport).

 

The project is intended to become a local and international destination for trading, producing and exporting dates of the Kingdom.
