The Minister of Finance, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, will inaugurate the Euromoney Saudi Arabia Conference 2019 to be held on Sep. 18-19, 2019.

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for Communication and Information, Yarob bin Abdullah Al-Thunayan, said that Euromoney Saudi Arabia 2019 is one of the most prominent financial conferences in the region.

“This time is of significant importance as Saudi Arabia will lead the G20 meeting by year-end,” Al-Thunayan added.

The Euromoney sessions will discuss the development of the institutional sector in the Kingdom, money markets, local economy and business segments.

Additionally, the conference will touch upon the digital transformation of the financial services segment, as the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) seeks to provide a regulated environment through transforming the Kingdom into a tech-smart financial hub.

“The 14th edition of the Euromoney conference will introduce three new initiatives aiming to create a more interactive experience for participants, including the Technology Tent initiative that hosts local and international FinTech companies,” said Victoria Behn, Middle East and Africa Director at Euromoney.

The second initiative is the Knowledge Center, an interactive session centered on Blockchain technology, Big Data Management and Machine Learning.

The third one is the Finance Lab, which is based on simulating global markets as a step to enhance interactions with global markets.

The conference also includes two sessions on cyber security and entertainment in Saudi Arabia.
