Saudi-based travel giant, Seera Holding Group, unveiled today the Kingdom’s integrated destination management company, Discover Saudi, within a SAR 1 billion investment plan to catalyze international inbound as well as domestic tourism.

“Our goal is to serve as the go-to company for inbound and domestic tour operators and travel agencies – as well as international and domestic visitors. This marks our strong commitment to supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 announced by our leadership,” CEO Abdullah Al Dawood said at the World Travel Market in London.

Discover Saudi is a SAR 500 million investment by Seera Group that supports the goals of Vision 2030 to transform tourism as one of the key economic growth sectors.

It will complement the goal of welcoming over 100 million annual overnight visitors and increasing the share of tourism to the Kingdom’s GDP to 10 percent by 2030.

Discover Saudi identified over 70 activities under six themes; tourism, nature, sports, entertainment, F&B, and culture & arts. Initial activities to be offered include city tours, cultural tours and desert experiences, with more to be added on through own channels or through partners with proven strengths.

Adding to its strengths, Seera has already been named as a DMC partner for Winter at Tantora by the Royal Commission of AlUla.

Seera recently announced an investment of over SAR 1 billion to develop the Kingdom’s tourism sector, covering promotion, distribution, infrastructure and Saudi human capital development.

Seera announced three broad pillars as part of the new investment - to launch a destination management company, build the mid-market hospitality sector, and focus on human capital development by training Saudi youth for careers in the tourism industry, Argaam reported.
