Atheeb submits objection list to court in its case against CITC

12/12/2019 Argaam

Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Co. (GO) submitted its objection list to the administrative appeal court in Riyadh regarding its claim against Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) to receive unified telecom license.

The telecom operator is awaiting approval and setting a date for a session before the appeal court, the company said in a bourse statement on Wednesday.

The financial impact is hard to be determined at the mean time, the statement added.

In August 2018, the company filed a lawsuit asking Riyadh’s administrative court to cancel CITC decision in which it rejected GO’s request to get the unified telecom license.

In October, the administrative court in Riyadh rejected the claim and granted the conflicted parties 30 days to submit an objection.
