Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Co. (GO) said in a bourse filing today, Sept. 28, that Riyadh’s Administrative Court of Appeal postponed the session of the company’s appeal against the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) to Sept. 29, 2020.
The telecom operator said it is difficult to estimate the related financial impact at present, adding that other developments will be announced in due course.
In August 2018, the company filed a lawsuit before Riyadh’s administrative court to cancel CITC’s decision, in which it rejected GO’s request to obtain the unified telecom license.
In October 2019, the administrative court rejected GO’s claim, and both parties were granted 30 days to appeal.
However, Riyadh Administrative Court of Appeal upheld the previous ruling of the Administrative Court in March 2020.
