Southern Cement names Aqeel Kadasah as CEO

Southern Province Cement Co.’s (SPCC) board of directors appointed Aqeel F. Kadasah as new chief executive officer (CEO), effective from Nov. 1, 2020, the company said in a bourse statement. 

  

The new CEO holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and has over 25 years of practical experience. He started his career with Yamama Cement Co., followed by Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC) in the Engineering Services Department. 

  

Kadasah was hired in Southern Cement in January 1997, where he held several positions ahead of serving as the executive vice president for manufacturing services. He was also appointed as SPCC’s Acting CEO from July 12, 2020.
