Saudi Arabia is constantly working to upgrade its airports to ensure they are state-of-the-art and in line with international standards, Abdulhadi Almansouri, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said.

This is part of the country’s strategy to consolidate its position as an influential player in the global civil aviation industry, Almansouri added, while addressing the chiefs of the Kingdom's airports.

He also reiterated the importance of continuing the efforts to develop and enhance the services provided for passengers, as well as to raise the level of services to strengthen the Kingdom's status globally.

The Saudi Cabinet approved in December 2020 the civil aviation strategy, which was hailed by Almansouri as key to developing the sector and creating a global investment environment, Argaam earlier reported.
