Saudi Arabia records 604 COVID-19 cases on Monday

Saudi Arabia recorded 604 COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 16, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 539,129, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 1,011, raising the total number of recovered cases to 524,061 (97% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 6,649, of which 1,332 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 7 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 8,419.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 170, followed by Makkah (97), Eastern Province (67), Jazan (59), Asir (50), Al Qassim (48), Najran (34), and Madinah (27).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 78,420 new tests over the last 24 hours, and the total number of administered doses increased to 32.11 million.
