Saudi bank loans to public, private sectors rise 15% to SAR 2.185 trln in February

Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors grew 15% by the end of February to SAR 2.185 trillion, compared to SAR 1.898 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Private sector lending also grew by 14% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.090 trillion for the same month.

 

Meanwhile, loans granted to public non-financial institutions amounted to about SAR 95.2 billion in February, up 33% YoY.
