NEOM intends to establish its own international airline and an environment- friendly airport, Asharq Business reported, citing NEOM’s CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr.

"The aim of establishing the airline is to ensure that the tourists coming to NEOM do not have to make a transit, but to reach us directly from anywhere around the world on board," Al-Nasr said during his participation in the World Travel and Tourism Council summit held today, Nov. 30 in Riyadh.

NEOM started to develop 15 islands as an integrated group, similar to the famous Greek islands, in order to allow visitors to move between several islands.

In addition, the top executive referred to building the world's largest yacht marina, with a capacity of receiving more than 8,000 yachts at once.

In June 2019, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced opening Neom Bay Airport in Sharma, north of the Kingdom, according to data available with Argaam.
