Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) is looking to expand inside and outside the kingdom, either through setting up new projects or by acquisitions, according to Ahmed Al-Ohali, CEO of the company.

Announcements regarding the expansion will be made in due course, he said, adding that Sipchem has currently 12 plants in the kingdom, besides offices in Europe and Asia, Al-Watan newspaper reported.

Al-Ohali said Sipchem has managed to weather the fluctuations in oil prices by improving efficiency, slashing costs and choosing the right markets in which to operate.
