Saudi CCHI includes 137 hospitals in healthcare providers’ network

17/05/2017 Argaam

Saudi Arabia’s Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) approved adding 137 hospitals, affiliated to the Ministry of Health, to its official healthcare service providers’ network, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported on Wednesday, citing CCHI’s spokesman Yasser Al-Maarik.

The move would contribute to expanding medical insurance coverage, through boosting operating capacities and increasing the number of service providers across the Kingdom.

The number of healthcare providers has increased to 200 hospitals, under the supervision of the council.

The Saudi health ministry had earlier signed a comprehensive agreement with a medical insurer firm to include its facilities in the CCHI’s insurance lists.
