Saudi Arabia bans Bein Sports receivers

Saudi Arabia has banned the import of Qatar’s Bein Sports receivers, as well as the sale and renewal of subscriptions for the sports channels, Saudi News Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.

However, the Kingdom’s General Commission for Audiovisual Media confirmed that current subscriptions will not be affected by the ban, SPA said.

Last week, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain severed diplomatic and transport links with Qatar, accusing the country of sponsoring terrorism.
