Saudi Aramco awards Marjan oilfield contract to WorleyParsons

04/07/2017 Argaam

Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) has awarded Australia's WorleyParsons a contract to provide engineering and design services for offshore facilities and pipelines for the Marjan oilfield expansion, Reuters reported, citing sources with knowledge of the matter.

WorleyParsons will design and engineer new offshore facilities such as platforms and additional pipelines, under the contract.

The Saudi oil giant is expanding the Marjan oilfield to meet increased local demand for gas.

Last month, Amec Foster Wheeler won a five-year contract to deliver pre-front end engineering and design (pre-FEED), FEED, overall program management and other support services for an additional 300,000 barrels per day (bpd) gas-oil separation train.
