Saudi Ground Services Co. (SGS) plans to hire about 500 Saudi women in 2018 across the Kingdom’s airports, Okaz newspaper reported, citing chief executive Omar Najjar.
The decision comes as part of the company’s Saudization plan, he said.
The company will hire 250 Saudis at the new King Abdulaziz Airport, and will raise the number in the future to 3,000.
Around 17,000 women applied to work for the company through its website. The company signed 150 contracts with women employees who hold Bachelor and Master’s degrees after training them.
