Three 4DX movie theatres to open in Saudi by year-end

South Korea’s CJ 4DPLEX has signed a new agreement with Cinemacity, a Saudi-based cinema exhibitor, to operate three cinemas in Riyadh by year-end, the company said in a statement.

The first multiplex will be at Al Qasr Mall in Riyadh, featuring 19 screens. It is expected to receive an average of 750,000 admissions during the first year of operation.

The company also has plans to expand to other major cities in the Kingdom, it added.

Xclusive Cinemas SAL Holding, Cinemacity's parent company, will operate 116 screens by year-end in five countries including Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
