The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) has received the delivery of a new Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) named “Amad,” the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Wednesday.

The new carrier is one of the five VLCCs that were financed by Standard Chartered Bank, Arab National Bank, National Bank of Abu Dhabi and Bank Albilad.

The commercial operation of Amad is expected this month, and the financial impact will reflect on the second quarter of 2018.

Last month, Bahri had received the delivery of a VLCC named “Khurais".
