Aramco’s Shedgum to Yanbu pipeline extension delayed: report

16/05/2018 Argaam

State-run Saudi Aramco’s extension pipeline project to transfer natural gas liquid (NGLs) from Shedgum to Yanbu Industrial City is delayed, MEED quoted industry sources.

The project was scheduled to start operations in the second half of 2017, but the delivery has been affected by a series of delays.

In 2014, the Saudi oil giant awarded Italy’s Saipem the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project contract to provide gas feedstock to Yanbu industrial city.

The pipeline will have a total length of 585 kilometers and a diameter of 30 inches.

The project falls under Aramco’s master gas initiative to transport natural gas around the Kingdom for industrial use and power production.
