Major shareholders up stakes in ten listed firms in H1

Major shareholders raised their stakes in ten Tadawul-listed companies and eight new shareholders jointed the major owners’ list H1 2018, a recent study conducted by Argaam showed.

 

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) raised its stake by 15.4 percent in Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Maaden) to 65.43 percent.

 

In Herfy Food Services, Savola Group increased its shareholding by 1.40 percent to 49 percent.

 

Hamdan Al Sorayai boosted his ownership in Al Sorayai Trading and Industrial Group to 6.11 percent - a 0.01 percent increase.

 

Meanwhile, Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Co. saw the biggest share sale by a major shareholder, where Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF) reduced its ownership to 14 percent from 18.50 percent.

For equity reduction, Allianz Saudi Fransi saw the steepest decline of 18.50 percent to a 14 percent stake by Banque Saudi Fransi.
