Nama to shut down plants for maintenance

Nama Chemicals Co. will halt operations at its allyl alcohol & epichlorohydrin plant as of September 24, 2018 for a 15-day scheduled maintenance, the company said in a bourse filing.

 

The chemicals’ producer will also shut down the chlor-alkali plant for regular maintenance for seven days as of September 27.

 

The allyl alcohol & epichlorohydrin unit will resume operations on October 8, while the other facility will be restarted on October 3.

 

The relevant financial impact will show on earnings of Q3 and Q4 this year, however, the exact financial impact cannot be determined at present.

 

The planned shutdown is aimed to enhance efficiency and reliability of operations.
