Dur launches SAR 120 mln Arriyadh hotel renovation under new brand name

Dur Hospitality Co. will start the renovation process at Arriyadh hotel at a total cost of SAR 120 million, according to a company statement.

The hotel will be operated under the Marriott International hotel brand name.​

In 2016, Dur signed an agreement with the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) to develop and renovate Makarem Arriyadh Hotel located at King Khaled International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh.

The deal included an extension to the current agreement for an operating period of 20 years starting from 2016.

The refurbishment process includes increasing the hotel's capacity from 247 to 347 rooms, in addition to developing the affiliated facilities.

The hotel renovation came in line with a 7 percent increase in KKIA passenger traffic.
