NCB Capital, Al Rajhi Capital top list of Saudi brokerages in October

NCB Capital has been ranked as the top brokerage firm operating in Saudi Arabia in October for the first time since November 2016, data compiled by Argaam showed.

 

The brokerage accounted for 15.89 percent (SAR 30.44 billion) of total market transactions on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) last month.

 

Al Rajhi Capital moved down to the second place for the first time since 22 consecutive months, accounting for 15.73 percent (SAR 30.13 billion) of total trading in October.

 

Aljazira Capital moved down to the third position with 11.35 percent (SAR 21.73 billion).

 

HSBC Saudi Arabia moved up to the fourth spot, accounting for 7.83 percent (SAR 14.99 billion) of total trading in October.

 

The combined trading value of brokerage firms rose around SAR 92 billion month-on-month to SAR 191.5 billion in October.

 

Al Rajhi Capital topped the list of brokerages operating on the Nomu Parallel Market in October, brokering up to SAR 8.84 million of total transactions on the parallel market.

 

Meanwhile, the number of brokerages working on exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in October rose to 13 firms instead of 12 in the previous month.

 

Falcom Financial Services was the leading firm for the month, accounting for 97.94 percent (SAR 215.98 million) of total trading.

 

Two firms traded on sukuk and bonds with around SAR 39.88 million.
