Dammam sanitation project to cost SAR 850 mln: official

The Dammam sanitation treatment station project will cost around SAR 850 million, CNBC Arabia reported, citing Khaled Zuwaid, chief executive officer of Water and Electricity Co. (WEC).

 

“The first phase of the project will have a capacity of 200,000 cubic meters of water,” Zuwaid said.

 

“Another two agreements in Jeddah and Taif are expected to be concluded in the second or the third quarter of 2019,” he added.

Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Privatization and PPP yesterday signed an agreement with Metito-Mowah-Orascom consortium to implement Dammam sanitation treatment station.

 

The project is expected to serve 900,000 clients West of Dammam for the period of 25 years by using the latest water treatment technologies.
