Saudi Ministry of Transport has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with National Program to Support the Project Management, Operation, and Maintenance in the Public Agencies (Mashroat) to set up a system to manage construction projects.

Mashroat will contribute to developing the performance and training of the staff of the Ministry of Transport to comply with the highest standards of construction projects management.

“It will also provide the necessary support to achieve the objectives of the National Program to support the project management, operation and maintenance,” Minister of Transport Badr Al Dulami said in statement.

Under the MoU, Mashroat will study and evaluate the ministry’s current construction projects management in terms of designing an appropriate organizational model for the ministry to efficiently manage its projects, determine the policies, procedures, processes, human and technical capabilities available and the implementation systems of the construction projects.

The program will also create a flexible environment for efficient and effective project implementation.
