Saudi Aramco allocates up to 1,500 shares per subscriber in IPO

Saudi Aramco allocated on Thursday up to 1,500 shares to each retail subscriber in its initial public offering (IPO), a full allocation ratio to 97.5% of total subscribers, or 97.5% of total subscribers, Samba Capital & Investment Management Co., the IPO lead manager, said in a statement.

 

The remaining shares will be allotted pro-rata based at a ratio of 10.941%.

 

The excess subscription amount will be refunded from Dec. 6 to Dec. 12.

 

A total of 5.06 million retail investors subscribed to 1.54 billion shares at a total value of SAR 49.19 billion. The retail IPO was 153.7% oversubscribed.

 

The IPO lead manager added that 1.4% of investors submitted bids through phone banking, 36.1% through ATMs, 28.4% through internet banking and 34.1% through bank branches.
