Tawuniya expects positive impact on GWPs on automated detection of insurance

09/07/2020 Argaam

The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) expects a positive financial impact on its motor gross written premiums (GWPs), as the General Department of Traffic (GDT) automated detection of insurance violations.

It is currently difficult to assess the relevant financial impact, Tawuniya said in a statement to Tadawul, adding that any developments will be announced in due course.

The GDT announced a decision about the automatic linking of motor insurance procedures in its records at the National Information Center.

The GDT urged all vehicle owners yesterday to have valid vehicle insurance before the resumption of the automatic issuance of traffic violations from July 22.
