MSCI adds Mouwasat, Petrochem to index in semi-annual review

MSCI Inc, the provider of research-based indexes and analytics, announced the results of its semi-annual Index Review.

 

National Petrochemical Co. (Petrochem) and Mouwasat Medical Services Co. were added to the Leading Companies Index, bringing the number of companies under this classification to 34.

 

The global index compiler also added Al-Jouf Agricultural Development Co., Al Moammar Information Systems Co. (MIS), Nomu-listed Riyadh Cement Co., Saudi Arabia Refineries Co. (SARCO) and Saudi Airlines Catering Co. to MSCI Saudi Arabia Small Cap Index, raising the number of companies pertaining to this category to 48.

 

Petrochem and Mouwasat were upgraded from MSCI Saudi Arabia Small Cap Index to the Leading Companies Index, while Saudi Catering moved from the Leading Companies Index to Small Cap Index.

 

All changes will be made as of the close of May 27, 2021.
