U.S. crude stockpiles unexpectedly rise 4.5 mln barrels

The U.S. crude stockpiles increased 4.5 million barrels during the week ending Feb. 18, compared to the expected decline of 300,000 barrels, data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed.

 

Meanwhile, the gasoline and distillate stockpiles declined 600,000 barrels each during the same period.
