ACWA Power, Egypt's New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA), and the Egyptian Electricity Transmission (EETC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to implement a wind energy project in Egypt.

The project is set to operate with a capacity of 10 gigawatts, and the necessary land plots will be allocated to conduct the relevant measurements and technical studies in preparation for discussing the final contracts.

This came after a meeting held today, Nov. 1, by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi Minister of Energy, in Riyadh, with Egypt's Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker.
