Methanol Chemicals Co. (Chemanol) plans to temporarily shut down its methanol and amine plants for the scheduled 17-day periodic maintenance, starting Feb. 25.

In a Tadawul statement today, Feb. 23, Chemanol said the move is aimed at enhancing the reliability and operability of the plants.

The date of resuming commercial operations at the two plants will be announced after maintenance completion, the statement added.

It also noted that the closure will not affect the workflow of other factories, expecting an impact on the company’s Q1 2023 financial results.
