Wafra’s frozen, cooked meats production trial likely to end in March

Wafrah for Industry and Development Co. expected the trial operation of highly automated lines for processing and packaging frozen and cooked meats to end in March 2024.

 

The delay from the previously announced date was due to puts off in the arrival of some equipment due to changes in the shipping route, company said in a statement on Tadawul.

 

The financial impact is expected to appear starting from Q2 2024, the statement added.

 

In December 2023, Wafrah started trial operations of the above-mentioned production line, expecting to be ready by Jan. 20, 2024, according to data compiled by Argaam.

 

In August 2022, Wafrah signed a contract valued at €3.97 million (SAR 15.28 million) with GEA Food Solutions to manufacture and supply highly automated lines for processing and packaging frozen and cooked meats, according to data available with Argaam.
