Bahri lays cornerstone for bonded zone at Jeddah Islamic Port

Jeddah Islamic Port

Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) laid the cornerstone for Bahri Bonded Zone, affiliated with National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri), at the Jeddah Islamic Port.

According to MAWANI’s statement today, Feb. 18, Bahri Integrated Logistics Co. will be responsible for managing the newly-established facility. This comprehensive logistics area is set to be constructed on a total area of 95,440 square meters.

The bonded zone will provide diverse storage options in locations equipped with temperature control systems, handling services, and value-added services. These offerings aim to facilitate global companies in establishing their own logistics centers within the designated logistics area.

Operational activities in the bonded zone are expected to commence in the first half of 2025, the authority added.

The facility will provide exceptional storage and handling capacities, including 80,000 storage platforms, 40,000 shelving units, and an annual production capacity exceeding 900,000 storage platforms.

It will be equipped to accommodate the storage of refrigerated, insulated, and dry containers. Furthermore, it will provide an extensive array of services, including container maintenance and repair, container cleaning, bonded storage, and haulage services to customers.
