Maaden Phosphate restarts ammonia plant after shutting down for maintenance

Maaden Phosphate, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Maaden), restarted its ammonia plant in the company’s complex at Ras al-Khair on Feb 24, 2014 after it had been shut down for almost two weeks for scheduled maintenance, the company said in a statement to the Saudi bourse, Tadawul.

Maaden Phosphate is 70 percent-owned by Saudi Arabian Mining and 30-percent by Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC)
