Saudi vitrified clay pipes Co submits a request to buy Ceramic Pipe Co.

Saudi Vitrified Clay Pipes Co. has submitted a request to the Council of Competition, the anti-monopoly watchdog, to acquire Ceramic Pipe Co., a subsidiary of Saudi Ceramic Co.

 Riyadh-based Ceramic Pipe is 50 percent owned by Saudi Ceramic. It has a capital of SAR 150 million and mainly manufactures clay, ceramic and plastic pipes which are used in many sewage and drinking water upgrading projects.

 Saudi clay pipes last month signed an agreement to buy 100 percent of ceramic pipes, according to Argaam.
