Saudi cabinet to appoint surveyor to review Ash-Sharqiyah's land claims

27/04/2015 Argaam
Saudi Arabia’s cabinet decided on Monday to appoint an independent surveyor to measure the size of lands reclaimed by Eastern Development Co (Ash-Sharqiyah), in preparation for granting land deeds requested by the agricultural developer, the state news agency reported.

The company will have to submit a sustainable, future plan for its agricultural productivity and water consumption, which will be reviewed by the water and electricity ministry as part of a government strategy to stop aquifer depletion across the kingdom.

The cabinet has also requested to review the regulations governing civil aviation tariffs in Saudi airports to make sure they are flexible, as well as globally and regionally competitive to attract international airlines traffic.
