Fitaihi Holding Group’s affiliate International Medical Center (IMC) is planning to launch three projects under a new five-year expansion strategy.
IMC will set up a new medical center in Madinah, Fitaihi said in a statement to Tadawul on Sunday.
The company’s Jeddah-based hospital will be expanded to include a multi-storey building, which will increase the hospital’s capacity by 100 beds.
A new college for medical sciences will also be set up in Jeddah on a 13,000 square meter land plot.
Bids are being studied for design and engineering works for the projects, which are likely to start in the fourth quarter of this year. Construction is expected to begin in Q3-2017, with trial operations slated for early 2019.
More details on the cost, financing and financial impact will be revealed as they become available, the statement said, adding that the projects fall in line with Saudi Arabia’s economic reform plan.
IMC is 19.34 percent-owned by Fitaihi Group.
