Saudi Yanbu Petrochemical Co. (YANPET) shut down its 520,000 ton per year monoethylene glycol (MEG) unit earlier this month for a scheduled maintenance, Platts reported.

Operations will resume on March 23, though it was previously slated for the end of February end.

YANPET, which operates another 380,000 ton/year MEG unit in the same region, is equally owned by Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and ExxonMobil.
